Our client, a world-class leader in the Consumer Products Industry has opened an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic, high-potential Design Manager based in Sao Paulo.
The successful applicant needs to have solid experience designing and managing POP and Display design projects and be highly flexible in order effectively deal with extremely diverse market challenges, combining strong creativity with the ability to efficiently work in a corporate environment, where multiple, simultaneous variables must be taken into consideration to deliver results. The candidate should have a proven track record of design / design management success.
Ongoing responsibilities are:
Driving cross-functional teams to execute entire POP / Display Design projects
Proposing & controlling Design budgets by category/brand/product
Mentoring, coaching, and managing in-house and external design teams as to how to leverage the resources to increase sales, effectiveness, and profitability.
Mobilizing resources to close projects and create satisfied internal customers.
Measuring and publishing results of all local marketing communication activities.
Staying abreast of consumer behaviors, new products and tendencies to enable accurate and appropriate recommendations and designs
Managing relationships with all the key decision makers
Continuously adapting activities in line with corporate objectives and market tendencies.
Requirements to be considered as a candidate are:
A minimum of 7 years of proven success in the design of consumer product POP and display material in the Latin American marketplace.
General business understanding, including the ability to understand basic financial data and write business plans as well as managing teams.
Superior written and verbal communications skills in English and Spanish, including the ability to deliver a persuasive business message to executives at all levels.
Possess the right balance of self-direction, collaboration, flexibility, and maturity necessary to work in a dynamic, fast-paced arena.
Willingness to travel extensively, work evenings and weekends, when required.
Willingness to train and travel internationally and adapt to different cultural environments.
Ability to manage his/her functions without being micro-managed.
Candidate must have demonstrable achievements in a leadership/consultative capacity.
Must be able to manage teams / projects in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
Must be willing to increase effort when faced with challenges or jeopardized project dates.
Must have “can-do”/” will-make-happen” positive attitude
Must be able to interview and start in the next 2-6 weeks
