Summary

In the conext of its succession plans, ITC (International Trading Company), a key player in Brazilian entertainment-based merchandising industry is seeking for a General Manager.​ ITC is a well-managed and successful company with a staff or approximately 40 that has grown from its foundation in 1984 to become one of Brazil's largest licensing agents, representing some of the worlds biggest entertainment companies such as Marvel Entertainment.​

Responsibilities

* To plan and execute the company direction and growth
* To develop strategy and business plans in line with each licensor's requirement
* Deliver outstanding sales growth by increasing business with existing licensees and developing/​fostering new ones
* Maximize client satisfaction ensuring both licensor and licensee are well serviced
* Ensure that the licensor's interests are vigorously protected by supervising contract compliance, royalty reporting, collections, branding and product approvals
* To develop close relationship with retailers, developing trade marketing plans and the DTR (direct-to-retailer) business
* To coordinate all licensing programs with stakeholders, including international licensees, promotional partners, TV broadcasters and movie distributors
* To set budgets and targets and to monitor the company's performance
* To forecast trends and potential market opportunities
* To provide guidance and strong leadership on strategy, business planning as well as day-to-day operations
* To monitor and implement operational procedures for efficient workflow

Requirements

* An ambitious personality with a strong drive and track-record of success
* 6 year or more General Management experience in the Brazillian market in entertainment, agency, media, consumer goods or retail with a multi-national company
* A good communicator with highly developed leadership capabilities
* Outstanding sales and negotiation skills
* Capable to think out-of-the-box and develop business in new directions and new categories
* Must have strong relationship building skills
* Should ideally possess experience in marketing and sales force management
* Experience in licensing is desirable but not a must-have
* Fluent English
