Probably already 10 x chewed through the theme, but me the course of action is unclear.

(Situation 1)
Am for one month in Brazil (Tourist) and I would like to rent a car for the time. What do I need? The EU driving licence, international, translation?, who is responsible for the legalization, if I'm doing it in Germany, I can my which make the Consulate? Is it necessary at all?
I will indeed not, when I arrive in 2 days looking and therefore run to the remove transaction...

I somehow fairly easily get the Brazilian driver's license or must I make new???

Well, Guandu veeery so easy is probably not. In any case to Point 2. So as I read out this from many other posts, the one thing of the competent UN TRANs of the State seems to be. Here in Rio, my last info from September 2006, the (EU) driving licence must be translated, you have a doctor and may a theoryPRpropagation drop, includes 30 questions (first aid, road transport, environment). I have the procedure just in front of me. In other countries attaining seemingly the cloth by taking part in the theoretical lessons (hours of compulsory participation obligation).

(To 2) in MG-certified translation of EU driving licence, try psicotécnico ("idiot test", no direct licence issues), a few reais (was not much) and patience until arrives the Brazilian driver's license. Validity of 5 years.

Also my question. My has expired. Can someone say something to do this from MG, how I can extend?

(2) Eye test done, form filled out, money paid (ca 80 R$) and waited 1 week. Simply allow certified copies of the documents here and the old German driving license translated.
For this, I must go now bike.
