Acesita S.A., a Brazilian mining company headquartered in Belo is Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The company is listed in the financial index IBOVESPA. Acesita was founded in 1944 by three entrepreneurs: Athos de Lemos revenge, Amyntas Jacques de Moraes and shall Farquhar. The company produces mainly stainless steel and Silicon steels (GO/GNO). It is so far the only fully integrated work of Laiteinamerikas for the production of stainless steel flat products.
The only work of Acesita located in Timoteo in Minas Gerais and has a production capacity of 900,000 (2005) tons of steel in the year. Acesita has also extensive eucalyptus plantations (126. 000 ha) for the production of charcoal that is used in the blast furnace process. These are the 100% subsidiary Acesta Energetica Ltda. incorporated. Furthermore has the Acesita Service Center, whose main, Amorim, was bought in 2000 by Acesita and located in São Paulo.
Since the 1970s, Acesita produces stainless steel. The company was privatised in 1992 by the Brazilian Government. the French steel maker Usinor, which now belongs to the Arcelor Mittal, the majority of the companies Acesita took over in 1998. In 2005, Acesita has 90% market share for stainless steel flat products in Latin America and a large part of its production exported to Asia, Europe and North America.
